Adeokun Adesegun is a documentary photographer and Photojournalist, based in Abuja, Nigeria. 

His passion for capturing social, environmental, health and political issues  has seen him developing projects such as; ‘In A Man’s World’- which looks into the lives of two female footballers breaking stereotypical views placed on women, ‘The Price of Urbanisation’- which highlights the victims of demolition.

He has been commissioned by notable international publications and organisations like Bloomberg Businessweek, Sightsavers Uk, Gates Foundation in partnership with Getty Images, UNICEF, Cherie Blair Foundation, Nigeria Health Watch, Rural Electrification Agency (REA), StreetchildUk and so on. His works have been published in The Guardian UK, Photosouth magazine, World Press Photos, Getty Images, and other publications.

He has a bachelors degree in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of Abuja and has gone ahead to attend numerous workshops such as The New York Times Portfolio Review, NoWahala Magazine storytelling workshop- on building a compelling photo essay, StoryMi Academy-a six month intensive training in Lagos and Kano, and Everyday Africa-essential stories. His works have earned him a place in the African Photojournalism Database (APJD), Indigenous Photographs, and also Diversify Photos communities.

In addition to his photography work, he enjoys facilitating workshops for aspiring photojournalists.
