Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL), 2024.
The KARI program, launched by UNICEF in partnership with the Yobe State Government, focuses on providing inclusive education to children from minority groups who speak only the Kanuri language. The initiative enables children to start learning in their native language before transitioning to other languages. As part of the Partnership for Learning for All in Nigeria, funded by the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), UNICEF is collaborating with the Yobe State Government to tackle the education crisis in schools and improve learning outcomes for vulnerable children through the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach.
